In 1886, David Bennett Senior migrated to Australia from Stockport, England to setup a top hat and canes store in King Street Newtown, Sydney.

 

In the 1950s and 60s, David's grandson, Ron Bennett turned the business into a household name,expanding his Ron Bennett 'Red Coach' menswear stores across Australia.

 

After de-merging the Ron Bennett retail stores in the early 1970s, the family grew its clothing manufacturing operations in Australia, and later in Asia.

 

Today, the Bennett Apparel Group manufacturers workwear and t-shirts on behalf of major retailers and clothing brands around Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

 

The company's manufacturing division in Australia produces Australian made clothing for its three womenswear labels - Corsican, Corsican Golf and BillyDream Sleepwear.
